About Island Muay Thai Koh Tao

Steve Grayso - Thai Boxer and OwnerHi my name is Steve Grayson I am 34 years old and I come from Lincolnshire on the east coast of England.

I started Thai Boxing when I was 19, I actually started Kick Boxing first, then progressed on in to Thai boxing, I have fought 24 times 14 in England, once in France and 9 so to be ten times I’ve won 15, lost 8 and drew once,

I currently live on Koh Tao, an island in the south east of Thailand near by to Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. I have become a partner in a Thai Boxing Gym called “Island Muay Thai” here on Koh Tao. We opened the Thai Boxing camp 4 years ago and slowly have gotten more established.

Nowadays we have become a real Thai Boxing Academy where we train everybody from beginners to Thai Boxing Instructors. We have a large record of westerners from all over the world to join our academy every year. Men and women, old and young train and fight at our stadium. Our community is growing on daily bases and we are almost becoming famous amongst other Thai Boxing gyms.

Thai Boxing accademy Koh Tao Thailand - Join the Team

We are holding regularly Thai Boxing Tournaments, about three to four times per month, where all our students and fighters show their skills. You are welcome to join the team or just have a great time on a real Thai boxing fight Night at the Koh Tao Boxing Stadium.

These are very reasonable prices for training. Do you have any pictures of the facility? Also, can you arrange accomadations for a month? What is the price on that?

I am looking to come back to Thailand at the end of the year, and visit 3 or 4 camps.

I am not sure if I would be training at each camp for 1 to 2 weeks, or for a month at a time. But if you could email me information on each I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi Steve, good site. Just thought I’d say hi as I’ve booked up to come to Koh Tao and Phuket for a total of 8 weeks from January 2010, 4 weeks in each area. For my 4 weeks in Koh Tao I am going to be doing a bit of Diving, but of course Muay Thai too. I’m practically a beginner. I’m just wondering if there are more than one Thai Boxing Schools on Koh Tao, the one I am booked with is where the head trainer is called Pi Tuhn. I was just wondering if perhaps that was your school or somewhere else on the island. I believe I am staying at Asia-Divers Resort but not entirely sure. The following 4 weeks are to stay somewhere in Phuket at a MMA Academy.

    Thanks for your time.

Paul. Not so sunny Kent. UK. Boo hiss…
