Traveling to Island Muay Thai on Koh Tao, Thailand
Bangkok is one of Southeast Asia's biggest travel hubs as Thailand has been a center for business and leisure for much of the last 20 years. With a booming economy and a laidback Buddhist culture, traveling in Thailand is among the easiest of any country in Asia.
Island Muay Thai can arrange travel to Koh Tao from our office in Khao San Road using the route's most convenient and friendly transfer service, Lomprayah.
Joint Coach and Ferry Transfer to Koh Tao
Lomprayah's VIP bus service leaves Khao San Road each morning at 5:00 to connect with the 12:30 High-speed Catamaran ferry. One of their four luxury boats will deliver you to Koh Tao by about 14:00 where staff from Island Muay Thai will collect you from the pier and take you to your accommodation, allowing you time to freshen up before you are introduced to the facilities.
Alternatively, you can take the 21:00 bus from Bangkok which will connect with the 7:00 Catamaran to Koh Tao. In this case, you'll arrive on the pier by about 8:30 the following morning.
If you prefer, you can travel down by train from Bangkok's Hua Lamphong train station. There is a night train leaving at 19:30 daily. You can choose either a fan or aircon sleeper. Food and drinks are sold on-board and the service is quite good.
You may prefer to fly to the neighboring island of Koh Samui and take the boat to Koh Tao. Bangkok Air has hourly flights to the island from 6:00- 22:00 daily. Island Muay Thai can arrange your pick-up from the airport and boat tickets to Koh Tao if you like. The last boat to the island leaves at 13:30, so unless you want to spend some time on Samui, you'll need to take an early flight to the island.
All modes of transportation have a good track record of running on-time, and are comfortable and convenient.
